The gospel reading for this week is about priorities. Jesus is condemned by the Pharisees for healing a woman on the Sabbath (Luke 13:10-17). Jesus’ response is that the Pharisees have lost a sense of perspective. Deciding what is and what is not important needs time to rest, relax and withdraw – this might be a holiday, a day away or a snatched moment over a cup of coffee. I find that I can do seven days work in six days but I can never do seven days work in seven.
Weekly reflections on the Gospel for the coming Sunday are available on request. They will come once a week and will never be more than 200 words. If you would like to receive these emails then please email the Parish Secretary
