There are many ways to get involved in the church activities at St Michael and St George - we've listed some below:
Catering for events
When we run Alpha Courses in the evenings, we need people to help organise the
food. If you would like to help in this way, please contact Ben on 020
8743 7100 or ben.humphries@london.anglican.org
Sunday School
A rota of helpers run the Sunday School. If you would like to join them, please call Father Ben as above.
Cleaners of the Church and Hall
Please contact Eunice Greene on 020 8749 6358.
Coffee Serving
Coffee and biscuits are served after each service. If you'd like to help out
please speak to Betty Amobi or Comfort Dwomoah after the service.
Flowers
Agneta Archibald works hard to bring the beauty of God's creation into the
church each week. Easter and Christmas call for extra creativity and skill. If
you would like to contribute to this ministry, please speak to Agneta after the
service.
Holy Communion Servers and Administrators
We have a lively group of young people who enjoy serving at the altar each Sunday and people of all ages help with the administration of Communion. If you would like to join this group please contact Father Ben as above.
Stewards
Every Sunday service a steward helps everything to run smoothly: welcoming,
handing out service sheets, etc. If you'd like to help please contact Father Ben as above.
Support for overseas mission
Contact Flicks Sainsbury for Christian Aid or Steve Purcell for the work
in Brazil after the service.
Choir
Our choir is small and informal, and if you would be interested in joining them, please see our musician Tommy Hewitt-Jones after the service.
Prayer ministry after the services
We are committed to praying for one another in the power of the Holy Spirit. There are opportunities to be prayed for briefly during Communion and also after every service. Please ask Father Ben. Prayers can be arranged at any time during the week in your home, hospital or in Church.
Readers and Intercessors
We are always keen to welcome new people onto the rota of readers and
intercessors. Please contact Vanessa after the service.
Parochial Church Council (PCC) and St Michael’s Church Council
If you would be interested in serving the church by joining the church council, please speak to Father Ben after the service.
Gardening
The beautiful grounds surrounding our Church are admired by many on the White City Estate. Each month we have a Saturday working party to keep the gardens at their best. We would love you to join in. Please keep an eye on this web site for the next time we are working in the gardens.
